Every journey-or blog-must begin with a first step. Somewhere along the way, I began to realize it was becoming harder and harder to remember all the little bits of my creative experiences as they happened along the way. I don’t know if it’s the fact that I’m in my mid thirties now and I’m getting older or if I just have more experiences to recall as time passes. Regardless, I think finding a way to document the journey will be valuable even if I can’t see exactly how yet. Each client, project, business venture, etc. all provide teachable moments among many other valuable things.

Since I was a kid I’ve always carried a sketchbook or journal with me. There always seems to be something interesting to write down or an idea to sketch. And there’s always been a therapeutic element to writing down my thoughts as a way to process and work through my thoughts and feelings on, well, everything. I always thought that one day I would pull all of them down and pour through them to concatenate the valuable tidbits into something that could be useful to others. But rather than wait for that day to arrive, I’ve decided to start compiling my thoughts here. Specifically, I want to document my creative journey as a 3D artist. My hope is that it serves a dual purpose. First, as a living archive of my creative explorations and the value extracted from the experiences. And secondly, as a trail of breadcrumbs for other artists and creative entrepreneurs–to help aid in their journey and pay it forward in gratitude for the help I’ve received from others along the way on my journey.

Wherever you may be on your own journey, remember to stay curious, and feel free to contact me if you’d like to connect or need some advice on taking your next step.
